Suffer the little children

THIS just in from the "god made me do it" department.

A fundamentalist church pastor had sex with two of his teenage daughters to educate them on how to be good wives, a South Australian court has heard.

Sounds heinous. What could possibly make a father commit such a horrible act?

The man told the court the sex was not about fulfilling his desires but about teaching his daughters how to behave for their husbands when they eventually married, as dictated in scripture.

Ahhhhh, now it makes sense.

Talk Talk

THIS just in from the "No Shit Sherlock" department.

Couples where the man talks more are happier than one where the woman is more talkative, according to the latest research by a team of behavioural scientists from Green Mountain College and University of Texas at Austin.

Couples in which the woman talks more than the man (man-more-inhibited couples) report lower satisfaction than couples in which the man is more verbally disinhibited (woman-more-inhibited couples), they reported in the journal Sex Roles.

MTV

It's Sunday morning at 9:15 and I just watched MTV (?!?!?!?)...They just ran that video "Beautiful Girls" where the performer sings the word "suicidal" in the chorus. After a minute or so of thinking that something was wrong with the sound on my television, I realized that MTV edited out the word "suicidal" from the whole song by dropping the audio on the word. They are so stupid. They should have dropped the audio on the whole song. It would have sounded better. Especially since "suicidal" is the only word I hear in the piece of shit song anyway.

On prostitution

SO some guy in Australia went to a prostitute, wrote about it, and then wrote about the responses he got to his article. Pretty interesting, and well worth reading.

Women's lib

According to a study published in the Journal of Couple & Relationship Therapy in 2002, 55 percent of married women engage in extramarital sex at some time during their relationship (compared with 60 percent of men). And here’s a far scarier number: After interviewing more than a hundred adulterous wives for her 2001 book A Passion for More, Susan Shapiro Barash found that 90 percent of them didn’t feel guilty about doing it
