A step in the right direction

There is no terrorist threat. There is no terrorist threat. There is no terrorist threat. There is no terrorist threat.

If only everyone could get it through their heads, this nightmare of overreaction, destruction of civil liberties, baseless imprisonment, torture, endless war, billions of dollars in war profits, paid for in blood, for the families of Bush and Bin Laden, would all be over.

But two planes, two buildings, three thousand dead (less than 1/100th of the amount that die every year due to poor diet and obesity in the US alone) and the the world became so afraid that it lost all sense of reason.

The words "war on terror" will no longer be used by the British government to describe attacks on the public, the country's chief prosecutor said Dec. 27.

...

"The people who were murdered on July 7 were not the victims of war. The men who killed them were not soldiers," Macdonald said. "They were fantasists, narcissists, murderers and criminals and need to be responded to in that way."

Looks like England finally got it. How long for the rest of the world?
