Duncan Hunter < / 3 Columbia

THIS just in from the Department of Overreactions.

It seems that Duncan Hunter, a congressman from Californa, was so upset that Ahmadinejad was allowed to speak at Columbia University that he actually is trying to pass legislation to prohibit Federal grants to or contracts with Columbia University.

The bill is ludicrously called... drum roll.... the "Restore Patriotism to University Campuses Act".

I really have to wonder, given that Columbia University is located in New York, and Mr Hunter presumably represents the 52nd Congressional District of California, how exactly is this in the best interests of the constituents he was elected to serve.

Feel free to write Mr. Hunter, and tell him how you feel.
