Cross an Ocean, Part II

SO I was watching TV in England, and they were showing the return of the body of a British soldier that had died on on TV. Flag draped coffin, carried on the shoulders of his comrades, the whole nine yards.

Apparently in England soldiers that have given their lives in the service of their country are heroes, and they are brought home with the respect and dignity that they deserve and are given a proper ceremony, fitting for those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their nation. This is in stark contrast to the USA, where we bring home our dead soldiers in the dead of the night, prohibit photographs of their coffins from being released.

It really is amazing the difference it makes when you cross an ocean.
