scooter goes down

Look at me, I'm lying !!!

Some really nice headlines lately. De Lay indicted, Miers withdrawn, and now this.

Cheney adviser resigns after indictment

I. Lewis "Scooter' Libby Jr., was charged Friday with obstruction of justice, perjury and making false statements in the CIA leak investigation, a politically charged case that will throw a spotlight on President Bush's push to war. Libby resigned and left the White House.

Scooter is facing 30 years and 1.25 million in fines. I really hope he flips and more of the administration's liars are revealed, indicted, and sent to prison, but unfortunately, I doubt this will happen. That being said, the prospect of him (and if there is any justice in this word, many others) going to jail does raise some interesting questions.

For starters, I wonder what the families of the 2001 US casualties of the War Against Iraqis Who Did Nothing To America And Who Had No Weapons of Mass Destruction (WAIWDNTAAWHNWMD) would give to share a cell with this guy, and other high profile liars in the administration. Alternately, I'd also be curious to know what they would be willing to pay "cellmate Bubba" to help ensure that justice is served.

Maybe we could start a fundraising effort ?
